CFK and the Key West Chamber of Commerce are holding a free workshop to help local high school students, their families, mentors, and guidance counselors navigate the daunting sea of college decisions, requirements, and deadlines. The first part will focus on writing for college applications and scholarships. The second part will be about exploring ways to pay for college.

×îÐÂÂé¶¹ÊÓÆµ’ invites the community to celebrate the birthday of the United States Government at its annual Constitution Day event in the campus library. Constitution Day commemorates the formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution in 1787, thus laying the foundation of our government, rights, and freedoms. 

This year's presentation will be on The Constitution: A judge's perspective of the relevance of a 246 year old document to our lives today. 

Presentation speaker: Judge, Carol Rose.

CFK Poetics Reading w/ Maria Zoccola

Maria Zoccola is a poet and educator from Memphis, Tennessee. She has writing degrees from Emory University and Falmouth University, and has spent many years leading creative writing workshops for middle and high school youth. Maria’s work has previously appeared in The Atlantic, Ploughshares, Kenyon Review, The Sewanee Review, ZYZZYVA, and elsewhere, and has received a special mention for the Pushcart Prize. Her debut poetry collection, Helen of Troy, 1993 (Scribner, 2025), earned a starred review from Publishers Weekly and was a New York Times Editors’ Choice pick. 

Admission is free.
